Job description
The accounting team consists of two accountants who report directly to the Finance Manager. They work closely together and coordinate with the supporting staff in the shared service center. Although each has distinct tasks and responsibilities, they provide coverage for each other during absences and collaborate as a cohesive unit.
- Daily Accounting Functions
- Oversee accounting operations for the Rotterdam office and other European locations.
- Support monthly closing processes and audit preparations.
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and recharges.
- Tax and Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing periodic tax filings (e.g., Intrastat).
- Prepare weekly cash forecasts and review payment processes.
- Maintain updated insurance overviews.
- Collaboration with Shared Service Center
- Ensure smooth operations and effective communication with global Shared Service Center
- Payroll Coordination:
- Review and approve monthly payroll calculations from an external provider.
- Prepare journal entries in SAP and process fund requests for payroll.
- Manage accruals, outstanding vacation days, and holiday allowances.
- Support for Team Members by assisting with various accounting-related queries, including purchase orders and tax issues.
- Additional Duties: performing other tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.
- Key Success Measures:
- Ensuring accounting is up-to-date and compliant through collaboration with the Shared Service Center, Sales, and Customer Service teams;
- Timely and accurate delivery of monthly closings, tax filings, and annual reports.
Requirements
- A strong passion for a purpose-driven career in the fields of nutrition and wellness
- Proficiency with numbers and solid accounting skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and precise in your work
- Effective communication and coordination abilities
- Fluency in English
- Background in (international) finance, supported by education and experience (3 to 5+ years)
- Familiarity with SAP Finance is a plus
- Exposure to the standards and expectations of a multinational environment is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to accuracy
- A structured and methodical approach to tasks
To be eligible for this role, you must already be living and officially residing in the Netherlands.
Working conditions
- € 60.000 - €65.000 based on fulltime and depending on experience.
- This role is for 24 to 32 hours per week
- 26 holidays days based on fulltime
- Pension scheme
- Travel cost reimbursement: 100% public transport and €0.23 per km for bike and car
- €2,35 NET per day work from home allowanceÂ
