Job description

Do you have experience with accounting within the Netherlands? Do you speak English and preferably also Dutch on a professional level (B1 to B2)? Then keep on reading;For the finance team, we are looking for a professional with a hands-on mentality. With the existing brands and new brands to launch in the upcoming months, there is lots of exciting stuff going on in the business, and they would love to have you as a part of it! Main tasks include:
  • Performing daily accounting procedures
    • Making sure all sales invoices and credit notes are raised timely and correct
    • Accruals and making entries when needed
    • General journal entry when needed
    • Managing of base data of financial system (Debtors, Creditors, General Ledgers, etc.)
  • Handling VAT declaration
  • Monthly and yearly reporting for management, like creditors report, royalty report and financial statements
  • Supporting Finance Manager in day-to-day activities or requests made by co-workers, customers, suppliers, or other related parties
  • Oversee the output of the junior financial assistant (who feeds invoices into the system and prepares payments)
  • Managing export documentation relating to Letters of Credit and Bills of Exchange (payment terms)
  • Creating warehousing/stock reports
  • Setting up payment run
  • Approving draft bank guarantee document (Letter of Credit = L/C) from customer’s bank before shipment


This is what we're looking for: 
  • Education in Business Administration (MBO level)
  • Experience in accounting/bookkeeping/finances within the Netherlands
  • Fluency in English; a proficient level of Dutch is a plus (you will be dealing with the Dutch government and systems)
  • >5 years of relevant experience
  • Computer literate (Outlook, Twinfield, Work, Excel, SAP, Power BI, and Exact)
  • Proactive and customer-oriented attitude
  • Being able to work both independently and in a team
