Accounting Manager

Job description
You, the Accounting Manager will be part of a small financial team, and will individually contribute with a broad scope of responsibilities, including financial accounting, management accounting – financial planning, international payroll and tax matters. You will be responsible for EMEA, but also will work closely with the HQ in America.Primary responsibilities
· Operationally manage treasury, budgeting / forecasting, audit, tax, accounting, controlling, planning & analysis, purchasing and insurance activities.
· Ensure overall compliance.
· Manage the monthly payroll process for 10 countries (Payroll processing itself is a performed by a third-party vendor).
· Hands-on involvement / management of the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
· Create the Dutch Annual Accounts.
· Manage the aging of, and reporting on, outstanding customer receivables (A/R).
· Provide input for, and perform review of, various Dutch and Foreign CIT and VAT Filings.
· Assume backup responsibilities for (Foreign) VAT Compliance and CBS / Intrastat reporting.
· Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual Financial closing of the accounts.
· Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations created by the Financial Accountant.
· Participate in month, quarter, and annual close activities; manage internal and external audits.
Requirements
What do you need?Education and experience
- Bachelor degree (master’s degree is a plus) in finance, accounting, auditing or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience at a financial department.
- Excellent understanding of US GAAP ( and IFRS financial reporting standards is a plus)
- Big 4 audit experience is a plus.
- Ability to operate in an international setting for a US organization.
- Experience with internal controls
- Strong personality, proactive, and hands-on mentality.
- Organizational time management, workload prioritization, ability to work with deadlines.
- Attention to detail and Quality oriented
- Fluent in English.
- Experienced with Oracle EBS and Hyperion is a plus.
