Dutch based company expanding their business on the Nordic market! They are looking to increase sales in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark by attracting a Business Development Manager Nordics to cover these countries ‘locally’. The company is growing rapidly, and this is a great chance to join them helping them increasing the revenue to the double at the end of 2020! Their products are being sold in 20 different countries all over the world and they have won several awards for being the fast-growing company in The Netherlands. They have also won an award for the best technical solution for their charging infrastructure, which they are very proud of!

They achieve short process times through their short communication lines and processes. This enables them to deliver custom made products in a short time window. They barely know any hierarchy; everyone is equal. The continuous growth makes working with them very dynamic, however always time for each other, they trust each other, and one can always count on another.

Job description

You love sales and developing relationships and business. Enjoying travel comes handy, as you will, as a Business Development Manager Nordics, cover the Nordics / Scandinavian region when it comes to developing identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs. Researching business opportunities and viable income streams. Creating successful business propositions together with product development. Knowing the strategy of our competition at customers. Actively pursuing net business opportunities. Generating new business at existing customers / accounts.

Global Market Leader in charging infrastructure for electric buses. At this time our reliable and robust products are being used in the world’s largest opportunity charged e- bus projects. We also deploy fast charging infrastructure for electric trucks, port equipment and marine transport as a turn-key solution.

The sales of these technical products, charging infrastructure for electrical buses, comes with working on tenders and projects.

So, you will be working with the Tender management team, making sure the optimal result of tenders and negotiations will be reached. Guaranteeing the quality and accuracy of tender documentation together with tender managers. Supporting the Marketing &Sales organization in reaching its goals. Supporting a smooth transfer of projects from Sales to Development & Project Management. Providing feedback and market insights for R&D and Product Planning departments.

You will represent the company by following the latest industry developments and by attending at seminars, congresses and exhibitions. You will be the primary liaison for existing customers and responsible for developing new accounts. Key focus of your role will be on strengthening and extending long term business relationships and continuously staying on top of the market trends. As a member of the Global Business Development team you will have a key role to further develop the sales and to drive our future growth. Focus markets for you are electric bus fleet operators and authorities and truck manufacturers.

You are responsible for turnover and gross margin in the Nordics and you will report to the Manager of the Business Development Department.


You have the tenacity and drive to seek new business opportunities with our customers and you constantly strive for meeting or exceeding targets, As a good Business Development Manager Nordics, you have good networking and communication skills, you know how to build rapport with people. You take initiative, have excellent organizational skills, can think strategically, analyze sales figures and write reports. You are loyal to the company you work for, colleagues can depend on you and you cannot wait to help the market with making transport more and more sustainable.

In order to be successful in this position we think you bring a educational background similar to Bachelor or Master’s degree in business management, business administration, marketing and sales, or in a technical field related to our products. You have proven sales/business development experience (5+ years) in the automotive/energy or related industry. It is very beneficial if you have thorough understanding of renewable energy policy, incentives and business models. Good knowledge and understanding of the automotive and EV industry in the Nordics. It is essential that you bring good negotiation skills and solid experience having worked on long lasting tenders. Preferably within the heavy duty industry.

As we are looking for a ‘local’ it is possible that you live in Sweden or Norway and you speak one of the local languages, preferably Swedish.
Fluency in English is essential as this will be the company language.

Working conditions

Salary is one incentive for the participation on the journey. Salary starting from 50 000 SEK per month, however all depending on experience and knowledge that the potential employee brings in.
