Our client is an international player in the market of medical technology and equipment. They are looking to hire a Country Manager in Sweden as their business is increasing at the moment. The company has several subsidiaries worldwide with a headquarter in Europe. They have more than 1000 products in stock, ready for delivery with a few days to customers throughout Europe.

They have built up a worldwide reputation as a manufacturer of high quality and innovative products in the fields of laboratory and medical technology. For them, long-lasting partnerships with leading pharmaceutical companies, as well as health care and biotech companies, but also large universities and research institutes have been established during this time.

Job description

This is a role is focused on building relationship with your client within the laboratory field (universities, biotech companies etc). It has a lot of freedom when it comes to plan your own schedule. Experience in laboratory work, product management within life science or microbiology is crucial as well as the ability to understand product marketing.
Now this role is all about driving sales and for a very solid brand and they have several products in their portfolio. They are not the only player on the market, but one of the companies with the most sustainable solutions and products.
It's ideally a role for someone who is blend between life science, microbiology and sales.
You will work closely with the manager, who is a fantastic peer, that is working out of Europe. Your role is operating independently on the Swedish market, but your manager will be brilliant to work alongside. Besides this, you will work closely with the inside sales desk at the HQ.

It's a fantastic opportunity if you are a commercial driven Phd Candidate, knowledgably in the field of the products you sell which is Quality Medical & Laboratory Equipment.
The Area Sales Manager, will have as main responsibilities, but not limited to, to work independently as an agent for the sale of products within the assigned area. You will do the preparation of the annual plan and budget, as well as monthly forecasts and the resulting actions are carried out in coordination with the Supervisor. In addition to the sales activities, the after-sales support of customers in cooperation with the distributors is one of the main tasks. You will be the coordinator for the service in the area and assist with the installation of the equipment.

Other tasks could be the support of the distributors in their sales activities, passing on leads to the distributors. You will plan the visits to both distributors and customers. 80% of the customer visits are direct visits (following the regulations for Covid-19 or course), 20% will be visiting together with the sales staff of the distributors. You will organize and implement marketing activities to improve distributor-customer relations. Build and maintain a network with users and customers, visiting trade fairs and congresses (if allowed due to Corona). Other important tasks are the maintenance of the CRM system, holding presentations, support, and implementation of customer training and participate in general sales meetings.

Your external contacts are (end) users and distributors. You cooperate with the sales team of the distributors. Internally you work closely with the Export Manager and the whole sales team in Europe, as well with the marketing at the HQ.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you that has an education and work experience within the life science and microbiology field, biochemistry, medical instruments or the research industry in general.
We believe that brings a couple of years of experience within the sales field and you are looking to become responsible for the sales in Sweden, as their new Country Manager.

As the position is about to represent an international company on the Swedish local market, fluency of Swedish would be very beneficial.

Working conditions

The salary for this position has a vast/varied component. The fixed monthly salary is around 55 000 SEK per month and the bonus scheme is very generous.
