Job description

As a Credit Control Team Lead, you will be focused on helping your team of 14 Credit Controllers to minimize payment and credit risks. You will be responsible for the escalations in the team, and generally helping to motivate and guide your team. Here are the most important tasks in this role:

  • Lead, coach and motivate the direct reports in the team and support them in achieving their personal and professional goals.
  • Assessment of creditworthiness for new and existing customers;
  • Setting of Credit Limits, payment conditions and other terms to reduce financial risks on forehand;
  • Confirm sales agreements are not in contradiction with the Credit Risk Policy;
  • Determine if current Credit Control processes and procedures are still optimal and propose and implement changes;
  • Pro-actively contact / visit customers and/or stakeholders to obtain payment and/or enable order release;
  • Give functional input to other employees in the department to ensure compliance to existing policies;
  • Informing the Credit Manager about progress on portfolio- and customer level;
  • Back-up for Credit Manager when necessary to ensure continuity;
  • Sign off on order release above credit limits in line with the credit policy;
  • Responsible for setting up internal credit limits in line with the credit policy;
  • Participate in various projects outside departmental scope;
  • Train all members of the credit team on software, processes and operational usage;
  • Function as key-user of credit management software;
  • Key-user for JDE credit management; responsible for user-acceptance testing and sign-off, involved in unit or integration testing and update training material;
  • Reporting, progress tracking.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the following are required:
  • MBO/Bachelor degree in Business related subjects (preferably finance/economics);
  • 3+ years experience in credit controlling, and people management experience;
  • Experience on Credit Rating;
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably JDE);
  • Professional level of English, and some knowledge of Dutch;
  • Ambition to lead a team and a genuine, outgoing and social personality;
Since your team would be made up of Dutch people, it's important that you have knowledge of the Dutch culture. Therefore, having lived in the Netherlands for at least 3 years is vital for this role.

Working conditions

Next to the salary listed above, you will receive a direct contract at our client for 32-40 hours per week, depending on your preference. They offer 25 holiday days per month, plus 13 ATV days (so a total of 38 holiday days per year!), and a 13th month. They offer a hybrid working model, as well.

Salary from: €3400,-
Salary to: €4200,-
