Job description

Our client is looking for a talented and experienced Dutch-speaking human resources manager to support the team in Amsterdam. As a HR manager, you will help to build an aligned HR approach across European businesses. You will be reporting to the VP of Human Resources and working closely alongside the International HR team. This role offers the right candidate a chance to work on a wide range of issues and topics that will help shape their growing business. This is a hybrid working role with opportunities to split your time between working at home and at their brand new office located in central Amsterdam.
Responsibilities 
  • Support the VP of Human Resources in European HR initiatives, including performance management, training, and engagement
  • Oversee employee lifecycle activities for the Amsterdam office
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing HR team
  • Work with the pan-European HR team to create processes and programs that enable the employees and help them build a successful international company
  • Counsel managers and employees on topics such as employee relations, performance management, compliance, compensation & benefits, and HR policy
  • Support a culture of continuous feedback by providing ER advice and supporting performance management processes
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that reflects our company values
  • Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes

Requirements

  • A degree in human resources, business administration, social sciences, or a comparable qualification
  • At least 3 years of experience as an HR business partner or junior HR manager, together with previous HR generalist experience
  • Proven ability to lead and coach HR team members to success
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both business-fluent
  • Experience in a fast-paced, ever-changing, multicultural, distributed organization
  • Ability to build relationships and positively influence at all levels
  • Good judgment and the ability to articulate sound evidence-based reasoning for recommendations
  • Able to handle difficult conversations, navigate disagreements, and maintain neutrality in conflict situations.
  • Comfortable with technology and software
  • Dutch working council experience is preferred.

Working conditions

  • Highly competitive salary package, annual gross between €65.000-75.000 including 8% holiday allowance
  • Hybrid work environment, working 2 days per week at the office in Amsterdam
  • Fulltime available, 32 hours can be discussed
