Job description
In this role you will be responsible for unifying the HR activities in the offices in the Netherlands and Denmark. You are the expert that knows their way around the Dutch and Danish aspects of employment such as compliance with labor law and employment standards. Together with corporate in France, which sets the general strategy, you will work on topics like internal communication, on- and off-boarding, talent- acquisition and retention, learning and development, compliance, crisis management and improving employer branding. You will translate this locally for both the Dutch and Danish entity but in a uniform way. This means that HR operates unified, whilst being locally compliant.On local level this means being responsible for the following, amongst other:
- Working with external parties for recruitment & payroll
- Personnel files & handbook
- Local labor laws
- Pension, retirement & parenthood
- Contracts and other secondary benefits
- Health & safety, GDPR and risk inventory
- Training
Requirements
The right candidate for this role:- Fluent in English, Danish and Dutch (C1 or up)
- Living in the Netherlands and able and willing to frequently travel to Denmark
- Educational background in HR with at least 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- HR all-rounder, preferably with experience in employer branding
- Work experience in both Denmark and the Netherlands and understanding both cultures and legislation in the field of HR
- You have a strategic mindset, yet hands on
- You know how to balance the business and person side of HR
- Approachable, communicative, and proactive
Working conditions
This concerns a role for 32-40 hours a week with frequent travel to Denmark. You will be stationed in the Netherlands with flexibility to work from home or the office. You will be offered a 1 year contract that will turn into a permanent one after that.- Premium free pension

This international is active in the horticulture. They have offices all over the world and one of their commercial offices is located in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. This commercial office is responsible for the EMEA market and has an office in Denmark that supports them in their activities. The Danish entity is responsible for production, logistics, customer service and administration. Both locations work closely together under management of the Managing Director which is stationed in the Netherlands. They are now looking for an HR specialist to take care of HR for both entities.Good to know
