My client is a modern, family-owned company with boundless ambition. Operating in the food sector, this company sources a wide range of high quality meat and poultry for the European domestic market from the best regions in the world. Besides standard meat and poultry products, my client also supplies customized products and strong own brands and concepts. Thinking pro-actively with the customer, this global player in meat is also developing its own line of organic meat and vegan meat alternatives. Based in the Dutch Food Valley, my client is closely working with many research institutes and other food companies to stay on top of his game.

Job description

As a Sales Executive you will be responsible for further growth within the segment Food Service and C&C. Your success will ultimately contribute to the company's overall performance. You will be part of a 25 men strong, international sales team and report directly to your Commercial Director.

Among others, your tasks as a Sales Executive will include:

  • being responsible for your own markets and product categories
  • being responsible for after sales
  • receiving sales and volume targets directly from the commercial director
  • discussing and taking care of terms & conditions and business agreements together with the commercial director and legal responsible
  • is on top of the latest developments in the market and shares these information with his sales team
  • thinks along about improvement of quality of products and processes of my client
  • points out and assess chances for existing and new products and markets

On top of that, you will join your colleagues on international trade fairs once or twice per year.


You are the ideal Sales Executive, if you:

  • have a passion and a talent for sales, combined with a hunter mentality
  • speak fluent English and one other European language, preferably German
  • have at least three years of relevant work experience in a similar function, preferably in the meat and food industry
  • are easy going, like to work hard and are not shy on the phone
  • are a problem-solver who takes the initiative to tackle challenges
  • have a strong eye for the market
You will gain extra points if you:

  • speak any other European language fluently
  • already live in the greater Veenendaal area or are willing to move there
