Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced strategist who can support the business and clients with the development of content and marketing strategies. You will be generating content strategies across platforms (digital + traditional) to urge dialogue, create coverage and take care of crises.
The ideal candidate has more that 10 years of experience within journalism, plus experience with marketing or content strategies.

Other responsibilities include:

• contributing to business development meetings by pitching in your point of view & ideas
• expanding your client accounts via relationship building and pitching
• Generating case studies (or equivalent) to spread successful stories
• Contributing to the company's business + marketing strategy
• Participating in unique projects provided by the CEO
• Creating strategic recommendations to clients
• Staying informed and educate your colleagues about trends in marketing technology. You will do this together with the CEO, Operations Director and Client Services Director
• Being in charge of the strategy development around the client-facing campaigns
• Directing and/or attending client brainstorming sessions
• Helping the Client Services Team (CST) with client campaigns
• Developing Customer Journeys in collaboration with the clients and CST
• Creating an unique style and voice for clients that attracts their key audiences
• Forging business narratives and key messaging/positioning in collaboration with the account teams + their clients
• Counseling and training client executives (i..e, media handling skills)
• Helping with the crisis communications programs
• Taking part in rapid response situations
• Encouraging knowledge exchange across the teams. You are the go-to content guru everyone will go to!
• Finding and developing content development resources (i.e., freelance writers), and setting the standard to which all content is produced

Requirements

The ideal candidate has extensive experience (10+ years) in journalism. Furthermore, you also have experience in a strategic, agency and/or marketing environment.

The candidate's English level must be at least on C1. Other European languages are a plus.

Skill that are required are: insightful, analytical, creative, able to influence others, negotiate and innovative, curious and always in-the-know about the latest trends and developments that impact services and products in communications/marketing consulting, and also a news” junkie”: well informed about what’s happening in the world and how it can shape the work that we do and our client’s business.

It is a big plus if you have worked in a B2B agency before. Also, you have experience in creative development, brand strategy, and marketing. Advertising is a plus.

Working conditions

NOTE: Our client starts the recruitment procedure for this role in May 2023.
