Job description

What will you do?
  • You will be responsible for designing and executing the company strategy for the sourcing and procurement of health products.
  • You will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the market dynamics for a given product category and then developing the most appropriate strategy to maximize value in terms of cost savings/avoidance, demand management, risk reduction, supplier performance, and contract management.
  • Understanding market dynamics, i.e. key demand and supply factors.
  • Planning and implementing long-term development strategies for product categories.
  • Evaluating bids and managing awards.
  • Establish and negotiate Long Term Agreements with suppliers.
  • Negotiating pricing and other terms and developing appropriate pricing strategies.
  • Pre-qualifying eligible suppliers and participating in supplier audits.
  • Building and maintaining supplier relationships
  • Monitoring and improving supply performance, i.e. via KPIs and business reviews.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholder communication.
  • Evaluation of client needs in collaboration with Supply Chain Services.
  • Developing reference pricing.
  • Allocating of suppliers to transactions (requisitions and sales orders).
  • Maintaining allocation overviews and tracking available supplier capacity.
  • Assist with requisition/sales order/purchase order management when required.


  • 3 - 5 years of work experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum Bachelor degree and/ or a dedicated procurement education
  • Fluency in English - oral and written is a must.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and work in a team with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Self-driven with a high sense of quality, accuracy, efficiency and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communicative and social skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a strong sense of customer service
  • Experience with ERP or procurement/supply chain management software
  • Strong computer skills, including sound knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Experience with donor funded projects and/ or NGO background is considered an advantage.
  • Analytical capacity and insight into business processes, both in the industry and in the business policy arena.
  • Strong negotiation skills at a senior level with international suppliers.
  • You are energetic, flexible team player capable of forming strong relationships throughout the entire organization, in addition to successfully leveraging resources, processes and tools to achieve desired outcomes.

Working conditions

  • This is a long term position and full time (40 hours per week) - 4 days / 32 hours is negotiable
  • The salary is between € 4000,- and € 4500,- monthly gross, based on full time (40 hours per week)
  • The salary is depending on the work experience and the education
  • Our client offers a one year contract to start with
  • Remote work is possible, 50% in the office - however during the training period it will be more often in the office.
