Job description

As a Supply Chain Project Specialist, it is your responsibility to oversee and carry out procurement initiatives so that complicated goods, non-catalog goods, and services are delivered in accordance with client and client requirements. All parties engaged in sophisticated and non-catalog procurement requests, including internal units, the customer, and suppliers, must be managed by you as the main point of contact. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal units to carry out procurement strategies for these capital expenditures, emergency response, and surveillance product categories. You will also work directly under the PPM Procurement Projects Manager to put the stated solutions into practice.

  • To function as a point of contact for both internal and external parties in the coordination of complicated and non-catalog procurement initiatives.
  • Manage selected projects from planning to completion to prevent any interruptions to business operations.
  • To provide an efficient, quick, and flexible procurement and delivery process, work closely with Client Services Specialists and Logistics Specialists allocated by the nation to align and manage the fulfillment of project-based catalog and out-of-catalog goods and service demands.
  • Work together on procurement and sourcing strategies with the Product Technical and Sourcing & Supplier Contracts Units to satisfy project procurement needs and engagement
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Global Fund Principle Recipient Services Team, Principle Recipients in the local community, and internal stakeholders to ensure that tasks are completed as scheduled and that any problems are promptly resolved
  • Support and/or take the lead in carrying out RFX actions to assist with project-based catalog and out-of-catalog requisition procurement processes.
  • Engage suppliers to guarantee prompt reaction and product and/or service eligibility in support of requisitions while working closely with the Sourcing & Supplier Contracting and the Supplier Engagement Units.
  • Give important stakeholders frequent information on initiatives that are handled both internally and outside.
  • Continually update critical portfolio information, while retaining a client- and PR-focused view on requirements and problems.
  • In cross-functional discussions, represent the goals of the PPM Project team. Continually update the PPM Projects Manager on developments, risks, project statuses, and milestones.
  • Share knowledge proactively with the Client Services, Logistics, and Supplier Engagement Units.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Business Administration
  • Experience with ERP systems;
  • 7+ years of expertise in the supply chain, procurement, logistics, or a similar field, including knowledge of rules, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies and at least three years of project management experience.
  • Track record with planning and procurement catalog and out-of-catalog products
  • Experience in pharmaceutics or the healthcare industry experience is a bonus
  • Experience in an international environment is a plus
A valid work permit for the Netherlands;

Working conditions

A temporary position for at least 6 months in an international NGO active within the medical and pharmaceutical industry. There could be a possibility to extend, but it's not guaranteed. It’s a full-time position, and travel expenses are covered.

Salary from: €4150,-
Salary to: €5000,-
