Job description

Our client is looking for an Area Availability Manager to further strengthen their availability team. They offer an opportunity for an energetic person with a proactive ‘can do’ mindset, who can take part in further optimizing the Planning services.

You will be part of the Area Availability Team, which consists of 4 other colleagues who are all responsible for their own area. Your focus will be on the countries Italy, Spain, and France. Together with the team, you are responsible to secure the availability of the company products and logistic activities at the European depots. You oversee your own area and will work closely together with colleagues in the Sales and Operations departments.

Day-to-day responsibilities:
  • Analysis of provided demand forecasts and match with depot capacity/product availability and initiate necessary actions to realize forecasted demand
  • Arrange movements of the products to/from depots/repair shops and customers/retailer RC's in overall company logistic activities
  • Balancing the demand of RTI's at company depots as efficient and cost-effective as possible
  • Receive depot stock counts from the company and retailer depots and take corrective actions if necessary
  • In cooperation with team members and the transport department coordinate trans-border logistic activities
  • Follow up on (exceeding) holding times in retailer flows (Pools) of all parties involved
  • Follow up and report on total costs per managed retailer flow (Pools)
  • Arrange collection transport and delivery transport when applicable within the responsible geographic area
  • Oversees the product availability within a geographical area
  • Follow up on KPI's and cost registration
  • Escalate challenges if necessary
Further subtasks:
  • Participate in company work groups/projects when required
  • Support implementation of new technologies in the SCM area
  • Bring improvement and new ideas to the presence of Operations Management
  • Contribute to the Operations team with professionalism according to company standards and processes
  • Follow the quality control processes in depots and transport management

Requirements

  • You have several years of logistical professional experience, ideally as a planner or in a similar position
  • You have a bachelor’s degree, for example in (technical) business administration or logistics
  • Ideally, you have knowledge of pooling or returnable load carriers
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Very good English skills (C2/1 level)
  • Well organized, with a solution-focused attitude
  • Interested in achieving common goals and team successes
  • High level of self-motivation/drive and very independent, team-oriented way of working - also from the home office
  • Willingness to perform / high service orientation

Working conditions

  • 40 hours per week
  • Start as soon as possible
  • It is a temporary position on an agency contract till 2023 June

Salary from: €3200,-
Salary to: €3500,-
