Job description
Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Project Planner to support our Project Manager by coordinating and overseeing the daily scheduling, tracking, and planning of activities tied to our Maritime Autonomy Developments (MAD). This role is critical in ensuring that all projects are completed on time, meet their objectives, and align with our strategic initiatives.Organizational ContextIn this position, the Project Planner will:
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and Product Manager to outline and implement project plans.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams—such as software developers, engineers, and external stakeholders—to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation to keep everyone aligned.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Scheduling: Develop, refine, and update project schedules, ensuring all tasks, milestones, and deadlines are clearly stated and relayed to the team.
- Resource Allocation: Help plan and assign personnel, equipment, and materials, making sure resources are used efficiently across all MAD-related projects.
- Progress Tracking: Compare actual progress with planned timelines, spotting any delays or complications early and suggesting remedies to maintain schedules.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks, constraints, and bottlenecks, and partner with the Project Manager to develop strategies for resolution.
- Communication and Reporting: Prepare regular status updates, covering project timelines, resource usage, and any known risks, and communicate these to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure a seamless flow of project tasks and activities.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of project-related information, including schedules, task logs, meeting minutes, and progress reports.

- Early detection and mitigation of risks.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus
- Language Skills: Proficient in English, Dutch is a plus
- Experience: 2-4 years in project planning or coordination, ideally in a tech or engineering setting
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with relevant project management tools (MS Project, Jira, etc.)
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, top-notch communication, and the capacity to adapt in a fast-paced environment
