Pharmaceutical Contractor Cost Manager

Job description

We are looking for a Cost Manager Contractors to oversee and manage the freight invoice process and associated financial controls within our global supply chain organization. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of freight invoices, maintaining strong relationships with service providers and auditors, and delivering data to support cost transparency and decision-making. This role requires a strong financial mindset, process ownership, and the ability to work independently across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end freight invoice process, from receipt to approval in SAP.
  • Oversee the annual PO process and ensure timely payments aligned with budget.
  • Resolve invoice disputes with service providers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate dashboards and financial reports to support business insights.
  • Act as primary contact for third-party freight auditing company and ensure data flow is complete and timely.
  • Support logistics teams and business analysts with financial data and invoice escalations.
  • Conduct regular reviews with supply chain partners to discuss performance and identify improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor preferably in finance or logistics.
  • 2-3 years experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Quick process understanding, insight and visualizing
  • Fluent in English, both in verbal and written communication
  • Strong analytical skills (incl. MS Excel) and ability to distill insights
  • Experience SAP and BW
  • Knowledge of financial closing cycle.
  • Strong relational, negotiating and persuasion skills
  • Problem solver with high sense of responsibility
  • Oversee processes beyond own department

Preferred Requirements
  • Knowledge of Operational Excellence tools, six sigma, FMEA.
  • GMP/GDP knowledge
  • Experience setting up service level agreements
  • Good technical writing skills
