Job description
The Invoicing Officer is responsible for executing auto-freighting, conducting audits, and ensuring the timely and accurate issuance of invoices to customers. This role also involves monitoring Not Invoiced Freight (NIF) and “To Be Invoiced” (TBI) DDSM amounts, while adhering to all internal processes and compliance requirements.
Freight Invoicing- Execute “Booking at Risk” and run auto-freighting post-vessel departure
- Review and apply manual charges from booking notes
- Perform audit checks and manage invoicing exceptions
- Monitor and process cross payments
- Maintain up-to-date customer invoicing profiles
- Issue and dispatch invoices and credit notes
- Conduct root cause analysis of delayed invoices and credit notes
DDSM Invoicing- Monitor and process “To Be Invoiced” DDSM items
- Identify and resolve errors affecting invoice accuracy or timeliness
- Maintain customer invoicing profiles specific to DDSM
- Issue and send DDSM invoices and credit notes
- Monitor and invoice transferred DDSM charges
- Perform root cause analysis for delayed DDSM invoices and credit notes
Requirements
- Experience in similar roles within Customer Service or Customer Care
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to customers, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams
- Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and the ability to remain composed under pressure
- Previous experience within the Maritime shipping industry is required
- This is a temporary position until the end of the year!
