2. Why do you do what you do?

At KeyPro, we believe in a world where furniture gets a second or even third life. Did you know, for example, that approximately 247 million kilos of furniture are thrown away in the Netherlands every year? This waste often ends up on the waste mountain and is largely incinerated, which has a significant CO2 impact due to the combustion of materials such as plastic. And in the meantime, the flow of furniture production continues, which also has a large ecological footprint. But now imagine: a world where ownership makes way for use. A world where sustainability is not just a trend, but the norm. This is the future that KeyPro is building.

Our mission is therefore to contribute to a circular future by reusing furniture instead of buying new. Our vision is to create a future in which the sharing economy is central and sustainability is the norm. We are building a platform that should become the "Bol.com of furniture rental", a place where both business and private customers can put together their entire interior at the touch of a button.

4. What is the current market like in your industry?

The furniture rental and circular economy market is growing rapidly, especially as sustainability gains more attention. Companies and individuals are looking for flexible and sustainable solutions for their furnishing needs. More and more people and companies are choosing not to own, but to share and rent resources. This is especially true in sectors such as temporary housing for expats, housing corporations, and renovation projects, where flexibility and cost savings are of great importance.

6. What has been your most memorable moment working with internationals?

One of our most memorable moments was furnishing an entire home from top to bottom for an expat family who had just moved to the Netherlands. We made sure their home was fully furnished within a few days, just in time for their arrival. The gratitude and enthusiasm of the family gave us a huge sense of satisfaction. This moment reminds us why we do what we do: helping people feel at home, no matter where they come from.
