Field Support Engineer (machinery)

Job description
What will you do?
- Deliver hands-on technical support and guidance to customers and their support teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a range of crane models.
- Provide assistance via phone and email to address technical inquiries.
- Analyze root causes of failures and assist in implementing long-term resolutions.
- Keep customers and internal stakeholders regularly updated on technical developments.
- Conduct on-site visits across regions to assess equipment, support customers, and resolve issues.
- Handle warranty-related assessments and support field service campaigns.
- Conduct technical training sessions for customers.
- Perform commissioning of new machines and inspections of existing units.
- Advise clients on maintenance best practices and necessary parts replacements.
- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation to enhance internal support capabilities.
Requirements
Who are you?
- Graduate from a technical high school or equivalent industrial/engineering program.
- Prior experience in the construction or heavy machinery sector is an advantage; however, motivated graduates with strong technical acumen are welcome.
- Solid knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines preferred.
- Proactive team player with a hands-on, solution-driven mindset.
- Strong command of English (written and spoken); French is a plus.
- Analytical skills to identify root causes and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Willingness to travel frequently across different regions.
- Comfortable collaborating with customers, distributors, and internal departments.
- Competent in using digital tools and platforms for communication and diagnostics.
- You live in Almere/ Lelystad region
- You have a valid working permit for the Netherlands. Our client does not offer sponsorship
- You have a drivers' license
Working conditions
- This is a long term position, full time - 40 hours per week.
- The salary will be between EUR 3300 - EUR 5000 per month gross, based on full time (Please note: the salary is depending on the years of (industry) experience and education)

Our client is a Global manufacturer specializing in heavy construction machinery. Known for innovation, the company integrates advanced noise reduction systems, fuel-efficient hydraulic technology, and robust design into its machinery. The Headquarter is based in Asia and for their European Headquarter, they are looking for a Field Support Technician.
You will join a team of 12 team members, half of the team members are located in the UK.
