As Financial Controller, you’ll play a central role in supporting both operational and strategic finance activities. This position is ideal for someone hands-on, eager to contribute to process improvements, and ready to take on broader responsibilities as the company evolves.

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations including AP/AR, general ledger entries, accruals, fixed assets, and banking transactions.
  • Act as the key finance contact for internal teams, resolving queries and offering practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports, identifying insights to support decision-making.
  • Handle VAT filings, statistical reporting, tax payments, and insurance matters.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and data management processes.
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Contribute to ERP system upgrades (currently AccountView; new system planned in 1–2 years) and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production and management teams on future projects including plant control setup and operational efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • HBO-level degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally with exposure to production or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong grasp of financial systems and processes; ERP experience required (AccountView preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluent in English
  • Hands-on, pragmatic approach with a willingness to grow into plant controlling responsibilities.
  • Strong communicator who thrives in a diverse and collaborative team.
  • Initiative-driven and comfortable taking ownership of tasks and projects.

Working conditions

  • Benefits:
    • 27,5 vacation days
    • 65-75k gross per month, based on full-time, including 8% holiday pay
    • full-time position; minimum of 36 hours per week
    • 13th month

  • Work Mode: Fully onsite work (4 days in Almere; 1 day in Amsterdam)
