Financial Specialist

Job description
In this role, you’ll be responsible for both day-to-day financial operations and key improvement projects, focused on one of the company’s European entities. You will report to the Group Finance Lead and work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and trial balances
- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with internal controls
- Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) and product costing
- Track and register fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization
- Coordinate VAT, CIT, and Intrastat reporting with external tax advisors
- Prepare and deliver documentation for internal and external audits
- Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements
- Lead or support automation initiatives (e.g., ERP upgrades, reporting tools like Jet Analytics, document capture systems)
- Act as a finance superuser for ERP systems, with a focus on continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong experience with financial closings and audit preparation
- Confident with ERP systems and comfortable working on IT-related finance projects
- Proficient in Excel and reporting tools
- Fluent in English (Dutch or French is a plus)
- Accurate, proactive, and hands-on team player with a problem-solving mindset
- You are available 28-32 hours
Working conditions
Our client offers- 40 holiday days

Salary from: €4500,-
