A global LED lighting manufacturer with operations across three continents is looking for a skilled Machine Operator Technician with both hands-on and programming experience.


Duties & Responsibilities


• Maintain and program Demak polyurethane machines and silicone end cap machine, often using acquired skills to enhance or automate machine processes 
• Build and assemble LED products involved in setup of polyurethane and silicone processes
• Solder and cut LED products
• Cut aluminum extrusions when needed
• Work with manager and Operations and Sales teams to plan production schedule efficiently and based on order priority
• Suggest improvements or quality concerns when they arise
• Work with engineering to build, test, and consult on product changes and new product ideas
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Follow the maintenance plan for all equipment and notify purchasing staff when new supplies, equipment, parts, and cleaning products are needed

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements 


• Previous machine operation experience
• Computer programming experience a plus
• Experience with Injection Molding, Extruding, 3D Printing, Machining, Casting, Laser Cutting is preferred but not required
• Precision measuring, cutting and soldering skills
• Ability to lift 16 kg
• Basic knowledge and concept of business applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and enterprise data flow
• Experience with Microsoft office

Physical Demands & Work Environment


• Occasional light lifting may be needed

Working conditions

Full time working hours from 8:30 – 17:00, Monday through Friday in office.  Additional time may be necessary as needed for meetings with team members and suppliers in other time zones.
