Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Application Engineer to join our client’s team.
Our client is looking for an Application Engineer who is eager to develop into a technical specialist in the Power Transmission field. This role offers a variety of work, both in the office (inside) and on-site with customers (both online and in person). The ideal candidate will have experience in project management and providing customer service within a technical environment. With a strong technical affinity and a customer-focused mindset, the Application Engineer will serve as a bridge between the sales representatives and the end-users of our client’s chain products.
The successful candidate will be able to understand the technical specifications of the products as well as the applications in which these products are integrated. Preferably, the candidate will have several years of experience in a technical environment, such as power transmission, and have prior experience in customer interaction.

Requirements

• Education: Higher vocational level of education (HBO) or equivalent.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a technical and sales environment, particularly in fields related to technical products or engineering.
• Communication Skills: High proficiency in English both written and verbal. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience operating SOLIDWORKS (2022) and/or AUTOCAD LT (2019) is required. A solid understanding of technical sales and project management will be beneficial.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: A strategic mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to approach customer challenges with practical solutions.
• Sales & Customer Success Focus: A proactive and service-oriented individual who thrives on building relationships with colleagues and customers. Experience in technical sales and the ability to act as a confident, fully engaged discussion partner.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Comfortable working in an international setting, with a good understanding of different cultures and a collaborative approach.
• Responsibility: A high level of responsibility and the ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams, maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Salary: Competitive, based on experience.

Please note that this role requires full-time presence at the office. Therefore, candidates should either reside in the Dordrecht area or be able to commute daily from a reasonable distance.
