Job description
Our client is looking for a Payroll & Accounts Payable Officer. This is a dual-role position with responsibilities evenly split between Payroll and Accounts Payable (AP). The role involves managing salary data and changes for the organization and its affiliated entities, as well as providing financial, administrative, and clerical support within the Accounts Payable function.
Payroll- Assist in the preparation and execution of the monthly payroll process.
- Address and resolve employee payroll-related queries.
- Prepare payroll general ledger entries for monthly postings.
- Process salary and tax payments.
- Manage vacation and sick leave records.
Accounts Payable- Record bank transactions across multiple entities.
- Ensure all invoices are accurately booked and approved prior to payment.
- Manage suspense accounts and handle intercompany recharges when required.
- Maintain vendor records and reconcile accounting entries.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Process weekly payments for contractors, overhead expenses, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare monthly intercompany balance statements.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently, with a structured and efficient approach.
- Proactive and flexible individual with strong organizational and planning skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a drive for operational excellence and results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field, with 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
- Solid understanding of financial software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Payroll administration experience is a plus.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Located in the Netherlands with a work permit
Working conditions
- Start date as soon as possible
- Annual salary between €38,800 and €45,360 gross including 8% holiday money (between €3,000 to €3,500 gross per month).
- 26 annual leave days, 8% holiday pay, maximum of 15% bonus potential (based on regional and individual KPI’s)
- Hybrid working, 2 days per week from home.
