Job description

We're currently in need of an experienced Sourcing Manager to join our client's team, a rapidly expanding global organization. In this role, you'll be an integral part of our client's Category Sourcing team, responsible for Product Management, Sourcing Management, and Quality Assurance. Your main objective will be to ensure the most favorable buying conditions and processes for the products featured in our client's loyalty programs. This will involve overseeing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with international, local, and internal standards for both products and suppliers, and managing capacity availability at strategically chosen locations. More responsibilities include:

• Strategic Buying: Drive cost efficiency by monitoring product cost drivers, skillfully negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions with both existing and new suppliers. Streamline the procurement process for licensed and A-brand products to ensure timely production and delivery while upholding product quality standards.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate strong partnerships with A-branded goods and licensed product suppliers across the EMEA region. Continuously monitor the supplier market, conduct evaluations, and perform factory audits to maintain an optimized vendor base aligned with our evolving needs. Oversee vendor risk management and contract closure processes to uphold agreements and mitigate risks.
• Product Development: Collaborate with suppliers to execute feasibility studies, develop new products, and ensure adherence to milestones. Leverage your market knowledge to provide technical expertise, generate innovative concepts, and select suppliers that best match our requirements. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to enhance supplier quality and production processes, ensuring compliance with standards and norms.
• Program Planning and Execution: Provide strategic insights into production possibilities, lead times, and minimum order quantities (MOQs). Utilize Supply Chain Management tools to monitor program performance, anticipate changes, and address any supplier-related escalations promptly.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in international sourcing, trading or merchandising
• Technical product or supplier knowledge in relevant categories; preferably cookware/ovenware/bakeware and/or glassware/dinnerware/glass or plastic food storage/textiles and paper/carton
• great negotiation skills
• experience in an international work environment. You can also work in a fast-changing environment
• you are a team player but are also able to work independently.
• fluent in English
• You are able to travel frequently
• You are located in the den Bosch area.
