Sales Support Representative | German C1
Oud Gastel, reference 2025-01394
Job description
In this role, you’ll be a key support partner for the Area Manager and three International Account Managers in the DACH + Eastern Europe regions. Together with your fellow Sales Support colleagues, you’ll serve as the go-to contact when the account managers are traveling.
Your main responsibility will be to maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships in collaboration with the account managers, while also proactively identifying and pursuing new leads. You will report directly to the Area Manager.
This is a highly administrative and commercially oriented role, where your tasks include preparing quotations and reports, managing forecasts, creating product sheets, and keeping colleagues updated on ongoing matters. Internally, you’ll work closely with various departments to help ensure strong and lasting customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:- Actively pursue new customer leads (by this we mean supporting lead generation - sending introduction emails and conducting benchmarks) and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, primarily in the DACH region and Eastern Europe.
- Support account managers in preparing for and following up on client meetings.
- Monitor market developments, customer needs, and stock levels, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Share relevant customer insights with other departments—such as sales figures, market trends, and product feedback—to improve product offerings and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and resolve customer issues or complaints in coordination with internal teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate timely and accurate product deliveries to customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO level), preferably in a commercial field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
- Proactive and commercially driven, with proven work experience to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic environment and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
- Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written. Some knowledge of the Dutch language is required, as internal team communication is currently conducted in Dutch. However, for the right candidate with the ideal profile, we are willing to make an exception to the Dutch requirement.
- Experience in the FMCG sector is a strong plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Please note that we are only considering candidates who are already based in the Netherlands and live near Oud Gastel. We are not considering candidates who still need to relocate or have an unrealistic long-distance commute. Unfortunately, we do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Working conditions
- A dynamic and challenging full-time role (38 hours) with varied tasks and career growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding international company.
- A competitive salary, based on education, experience, and responsibilities.
- A solid pension plan with 2/3 of the contribution covered by the employer.
- 27 vacation days per calendar year (based on full-time employment).
- Additional seniority leave hours and the option to purchase extra vacation days.
- An informal, supportive work culture focused on development and growth.
- A modern, bright workspace.
- Fun team activities and social events.
- Monthly visits from a food truck and weekly fresh fruit.
- A monthly gym allowance.
- On-site fitness facilities including a ping-pong table and gym equipment.
The salary range will be discussed during the intake with the recruiter.
