Client Hardware Support Specialist | French & Dutch

Job description
Are you passionate about providing top-notch technical support and eager to make a difference in the Belgian and Dutch markets? Join our client's friendly team as a Client Hardware Support Specialist! In this role, you will be a go-to expert for product technical specifications, alternatives, and applicability, assisting both Focus and Non-Focus customers via email, phone, and chat.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify whether certain products, or comparable alternatives, are available in the product range.
- Advise customers on product specifications and usage.
- Respond to technical product queries.
- Find suitable alternatives for backordered, discontinued, or non-catalogue products.
- Handle REACH-related requests.
- Support Internal Sales with BOM (Bill of Materials) lists.
- Clarify item numbers when purchase orders are unclear.
- Train Customer Service and Sales teams in product search and basic product knowledge.
- Locate and send product certificates to customers.
- Execute e-commerce advocacy tasks for the Benelux region.
- Perform onsite search activities.
- Complete the daily ALT sheet.
- Support other departmental activities beyond standard responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Fluent in Dutch, and a good command of French and English
- Minimum MBO+ level, preferably with a hands-on technical background in mechanics, electronics, or installation repair
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar hardware support position
- Proficiency in SAP, CRM systems, and Excel
- Strong technical affinity
- Customer-centric and positive communication style (verbal and written)
- Patience and clear, concise communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities and creativity
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Empathy and strong interpersonal awareness
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Flexibility and quick adaptability
- Solid understanding of product features and business value propositions
- Willingness to learn and take on challenges
- Capable of extracting and interpreting relevant information from various systems to provide accurate, customer-focused support.
Working conditions

- Hybrid working model: 2 days at the office, remaining days from home
- For candidates living more than 70 km from Haarlem, mostly remote work is also possible with the expectation of being onsite once a month for team meetings. Also open for applicants in Belgium.
