We have shared a lot with you about our company, our events, the Netherlands as a country and their traditions. We feel like it is high time you got acquainted with some of our colleagues. This blog will give you more insight into the life of a recruiter, the challenges they face, their most memorable moments and their guilty pleasures. This week we will introduce our recruiter from Eindhoven, Elçin Arıcı. Enjoy!
When I moved to the Netherlands, I came across Undutchables while looking for opportunities, and thanks to Undutchables, I found my first job here. I’m still very grateful for that. It was a temporary position, and after completing my contract, I got back in touch with Undutchables. As luck would have it, they were looking for a recruiter at that time!
I believe the most enjoyable part of my role is getting to know new people every day and helping them achieve their career aspirations.
I really had to think about this question, but I’d say the biggest challenge is trying to keep candidates motivated after they’ve been rejected. Sometimes candidates can feel truly disappointed by rejection, and I completely understand that.
I can’t pick just one moment, but some of my happiest memories are when I call my candidates to congratulate them on getting the job and hearing their happy reactions.
I believe that transparency is the most important factor in a successful recruitment process. I always make a point of being transparent with both our clients and our candidates.
Dream job? Hahaha. Even though I haven’t been able to draw for a long time, I really love drawing, and I think it would be amazing if that could be my job. Or maybe it could be streaming and playing video games all day from home!
I guess I always create small victories to celebrate, and I celebrate with chocolate!

It has come to our attention that some unaffiliated individuals and/or parties have used the Undutchables name illegally to promote fake job opportunities and solicit money via social media channels and e-mail.
Please be advised that this is not us. We will never request money from job seekers as this is contrary to the way we work and is against the law in the Netherlands. If you are approached by someone claiming to be from Undutchables that requests money for helping you find a job then you can be certain that they are not truly from Undutchables.
If you are approached by one of our Recruitment Consultants with a job opportunity they will identify themselves as such and will not ask you for money. You can find a comprehensive and up to date list of all of our current employees on our website, so if someone approaches you under the name of Undutchables you can always confirm their employment with Undutchables by checking our website.
If you are contacted by someone claiming to be from Undutchables who is not on this list please discontinue communication with them and inform us immediately so that we can take further action.
We only need a few personal details, thanks!
