We look forward to hearing from you!
We have shared a lot with you about our company, our events, the Netherlands as a country and their traditions. We feel like it is high time you got acquainted with some of our colleagues. This blog will give you more insight into the life of a recruitment professional, the challenges they face, their most memorable moments and their guilty pleasures. This week we will introduce our office assistant from Utrecht, Bruna Barbosa. Enjoy!
While I was job hunting, I came across a vacancy posted by Camila. Even though I didn’t meet all the requirements, I decided to apply anyway (sometimes you just have to take a chance!). To my surprise, Camila called me. She kindly explained why I wasn’t the right fit for that specific client, but honestly, from the moment we started talking, something just clicked.
A few minutes into the conversation, she paused and said, “Hmmm, you might actually be a good fit for our team. We’re looking for an Office Assistant.” I asked, “Does it involve sales?” She said, “No.” And I said, “Then I’m in!”.
Not long after, I met the whole Undutchables Utrecht team and I knew right away this was where I wanted to be. The atmosphere, the people, the energy, everything felt right! And here I am, part of the Undutchables family. All thanks to a job I wasn’t qualified for, a kind recruiter, and a spontaneous, life-changing phone call.
The most enjoyable part of my job is having the opportunity to learn something new every day, whether it’s about payments, contracts, or visas.
I think the biggest challenge being an office assistant is managing multiple tasks at once while maintaining close attention to detail. As an office assistant, you have to ensure that everything runs smoothly, whether it’s handling payments, contracts, visas, or even making sure hungry colleagues are taken care of during lunch. Balancing all these responsibilities requires focus and good organization.
My most memorable moment was my first day , I felt truly welcomed by the team.
Communication is key in my opinion.
If I had to choose a dream job outside the office, I would work with kids in social vulnerability.
Eating a big piece of chocolate cake, even though I’m allergic to gluten and lactose.
