Time to wrap up another year! If 2025 had a soundtrack, it would be a mix of busy calendars, meaningful conversations, international accents, and the occasional (or not so occasional) Dutch rain tapping against the office windows. For our team it was a year defined by connection, consistency, and continuing to do what we do best: helping international talent and Dutch employers find each other and thrive together.

Connecting international companies with multilingual job seekers is our passion. It takes dedicated global outreach and tailored marketing strategies to make sure we can reach all of you, wherever you may be in the world.

This year, we yet again felt the love as we saw even more visitors and applications pouring in from all over the globe.

This year, our social channels grew immensely and that is all thanks to you! We were able to reach many more people with open vacancies, fun Spotlight Weeks, tips and tricks from our team, and expert advice for life and work in the Netherlands. Your likes, comments, shares, and messages made all the difference in getting the word out so a big thank-you to our community for being such an active part of Undutchables throughout 2025! We’re looking forward to an engaging and entertaining 2026, with lots of fun content planned, so keep following us into 2026. 😊

Blogs

In 2025, our weekly blogs turned into a few more as we had a lot of information to share. Along with our recurring blog series - Meet the Team, Undutchables in the City, Meet Our Partners, and Tip From a Recruiter – all of the labor market changes, exciting and informative events, fun cultural insights, and our lovely group of enthusiastic guest authors led to a year full of helpful and interesting articles. We proudly published 17 guest blogs written by 15 different guest authors, each bringing their own expertise, experiences, international background, and perspective on living and working in the Netherlands.

From career advice and labor market insights to cultural tips and personal stories, we hope these blogs helped you feel more informed, more confident, and more at home.

New Partnerships

Next to finding a job, there are a lot of other important things you come across when it comes to being an international in the Netherlands. Each partner has their own specific area of expertise and provides the same level of service that we do. We are happy that we were able to expand our network greatly this year and add 13 wonderful companies to our partner page this year. Events

One of the perks of having a great network of partners is getting to collaborate on some truly great events throughout the year. With so many opportunities we could not say no to (nor would we want to) we hosted, co-hosted, attended, and presented a record amount of events in 2025. We got to work with partners, new and old alike, to discuss important topics such as how to best support multicultural teams, changes in Dutch politics and how this effects the labor market, AI in recruitment, interview tips and tricks, and more. 

We had an overwhelming (in a good way) amount of registrations for our online candidate webinars, and also enjoyed meeting many of you in person at our monthly walk-in events. Speaking of getting to meet a lot of you, attending the IamExpat Fairs in The Hague and Eindhoven was definitely a highlight this year. 

Along with a mix of bigger events, we also got to host some smaller scale workshops, such as a full German webinar week (thanks again to the Empowerment Foundation and Wiebke Bonnet-Vogler for sharing your expertise), inner-circle business networking with MeerBusiness Amsterdam, and cross-border workshops with NFCC and CCI focused on business relationships between France and the Netherlands. These unique events offered a nice opportunity to hone in on particular challenges faced by specific groups and gave us the chance to share advice for how they can best overcome them to start their career or expand their business in the Netherlands. 


With our almost 30 years of experience in international recruitment we also could not help taking part in important broader industry discussions, such as the Internationalization of the Dutch Labour Market Congress that we co-hosted with our partners at Werf&.

Another highlights this year was the continued growth of our Expert Talk series, including a strong finish with a live session in Utrecht with special guest presenters from ASML and Superpeople Company. It was wonderful to meet with so many professionals and have an open discussion where expertise from different sides of the labor market came together to help us all improve the inclusion and success of our company cultures.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

In a challenging and ever-changing market, we are incredibly grateful for our amazing team, whose dedication and expertise have been the driving force behind our success this year. 2025 was filled with many challenges including a tight labor market and continuously changing regulations. 

The motto of our General Manager, "teamwork makes the dream work" was truly apparent as we still reached goals and had fun together while navigating a tricky market, and we are proud of what we achieved together this year!

Learning Never Stops

In addition to making improvements that would serve our clients, candidates, and partners better this year, we also made great strides internally to facilitate company growth, as well as individual improvement. We put a special focus on strengthening our internal foundation to better support our mission of connecting talent with opportunity.  These values guided us every step of the way, shaping the projects we undertook, the culture we fostered, and the opportunities to support our team in their professional and personal growth. 

Behind the scenes, 2025 was also a big year of growth and learning for our team. We introduced new marketing trainings to help our recruiters better share their expertise, strengthen their personal brands, and expand their recruitment efforts even further. 

We always keep our Undutchables core values in mind: Personal, Expertise, Partner, and Enterprising; as we continue to strive for greater knowledge and expertise to better serve our clients and candidates. 

Undutchacademy

Not only is learning important but it can also be fun, which is clearly the case with our internal training program - Undutchacademy. This year many colleagues gained new skills and brushed up on their knowledge through our diverse workshops and certification programs. Undutchacademy provides comprehensive training to our colleagues, ensuring they stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of recruitment. With easy to follow courses for onboarding, interviewing skills, Dutch labor law, sharing feedback, sales, marketing, and more, our team members have access to an in-house knowledge library and internal trainers to help them become experts in their craft. 

Certified!

In addition to a personal approach, we know that maintaining a high level of expertise is important so that we can advise and help our clients and candidates in the best way possible. All of our team members make sure that they are informed about current Dutch labor law and that they stay up to date about the international market. One of the ways we ensure this high level of expertise is by helping team members to obtain official recruitment certifications and market training. This year twenty-two of our dedicated team members completed advanced training and certification programs, enhancing their knowledge and expertise to better serve you.

Of course this 2025 wrapped would not be complete without a warm welcome to our newest team members! (Although some of them have been with us almost the entire year 😉 ...we are still very glad that they joined our Undutchables family in 2025!)

A Diverse and Unified Team

At Undutchables we believe in the beauty of diversity. Undutchables boasts a team representing 15 different nationalities, celebrating diversity as much internally as we promote it externally. Having such a diverse team allows us to connect with our candidates that come from all over the world, as well as broaden our horizons by learning about our colleagues and their cultures. Although we may differ in many ways, there are also many ways that we are the same. For instance, most of our team members are internationals or globetrotters themselves which unites us with a common goal to help international job seekers and companies get connected. We have had many opportunities to get to know each other even better this year through sharing special cultural experiences (like delicious Thanksgiving at the office) enjoying fun and educational teambuilding days (who doesn't love some brainstorming and fairytale fun at the Efteling?), and celebrating personal milestones such as weddings, births, new houses, milestone anniversaries, and more. The heart of Undutchables is truly our employees, and we are grateful to each of our Undutchies for their unique contribution to our team this year! ❤️

So, to wrap up...

2025 was a year of strengthening foundations, deepening partnerships, and amplifying international voices. It brought a lot of challenges with it as well, and we are proud of our team, our clients, and our candidates for the beautiful way we have found success together this year. 

As we look ahead, there’s something special on the horizon: 2026 marks 30 years of Undutchables. 🎉With this milestone that reflects where we come from, but also the exciting future that we are heading into, we’re looking forward to the year ahead and to making 2026 one to remember - together. Thank you for being part of our journey!
