Job description
As the Financial Administrative Employee, you will be in charge of managing and supervising the organization's accounting functions. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all accounting tasks and financial reports are completed on time, accurately, and in full. You will take complete ownership of these duties, reflecting your expertise and professionalism in the field.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining complete and accurate accounting records from A to Z.
- Serving as the point of contact within the organization for VAT and payroll taxes, including managing their declaration.
- Handling the booking and charging of salaries received from the HR/payroll provider.
- Managing accounts receivable administration.
- Ensuring correct, timely, and complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closings of accounting records.
- Preparing and delivering weekly management information, while identifying any areas of concern or red flags that require attention from management.
- Implementing legal and fiscal regulations to ensure compliance.
- Providing valuable insights and proposals for improvements, enabling management to make informed business decisions.
- Optimizing financial processes and procedures, enhancing efficiency, and suggesting improvements for system design and automation.
- Monitoring adherence to key procedures and providing regular feedback to the organization and management on compliance.
Requirements
- English proficiency required, with Dutch as a bonus
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- MBO Level 4 or HBO-level working and thinking capacity
- Strong experience with Exact Globe and/or Twinfield (mandatory for consideration for this role)
- Expertise in invoicing and administration is required. You will manage accounts receivable, focusing on analyzing invoices to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions
- Expertise in financial administration, including bookkeeping, VAT processing, and consolidation
- Proficiency in Excel is essential, with experience in handling various currencies considered a plus
- Experience with payroll processing is advantageous
