Job description

As a Screen Preparation Operator, you play an important role in supporting the efficiency and quality of the screen printing operation. This position involves restoring previously used screens to production-ready condition and preparing new screens by fitting and tensioning mesh to specification. The role requires careful attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and a commitment to maintaining high production standards while working with specialized equipment and cleaning materials.
Core Responsibilities

• Restore used screen frames by removing ink deposits, stencil coatings, adhesive residues, and other contaminants.
• Utilize approved cleaning products, pressure-washing systems, and reclaim equipment to return screens to a reusable condition.
• Remove worn or damaged mesh from frames.
• Prepare frame surfaces through cleaning and finishing processes before mesh installation.
• Install and tension new mesh to meet established production and quality requirements.
• Operate reclaiming, cleaning, and stretching equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and ensure tools and machinery remain in proper working condition.
• Verify that reclaimed and newly prepared screens meet required standards.
• Check for defects, damage, residual staining, contamination, or improper mesh tension, and take corrective action when necessary.
• Follow company procedures for the handling, storage, and use of cleaning solutions, adhesives, and related materials.
• Maintain compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide practical support to other departments as workloads fluctuate or staffing needs arise.
• Assist in areas such as production preparation, finishing operations, colour preparation, inventory handling, and general warehouse activities when required.
• Help maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Support company-wide housekeeping initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Technical qualification or relevant experience in manufacturing, production, or screen printing.
• Experience with screen stretching, screen preparation, or similar production processes is an advantage.
• Flexible and willing to support different departments as business needs require.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
• Physically capable of lifting, standing for extended periods, and operating production equipment.

• Standard work hours (no shifts)
• 1 year contract to start

• Market conform salary between EUR 2.600 and 4.400 gross per month, depending on experience.
