Job description
Our client is looking for a
Senior Supply Chain Specialist to manage day-to-day supply chain operations, optimize order management, and drive strong delivery performance across its partner network.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a healthy orderbook, monitoring supply chain performance, and ensuring efficient product flow from planning through delivery. You will work closely with internal commercial, logistics, transportation, and distribution teams, as well as external partners and supply chain stakeholders.
You will contribute to seasonal planning, support financial and operational objectives, and use data-driven insights to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement. The role requires a proactive professional who can operate independently, influence stakeholders, and continuously improve supply chain processes and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities:- Understand partner requirements, service expectations, and operational needs, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful partnerships.
- Manage and monitor the orderbook to support optimal inventory flow and on-time delivery performance.
- Conduct operational reviews, orderbook audits, and process workshops to improve partner ordering behavior and supply chain efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal supply chain, commercial, logistics, transportation, and distribution teams to optimize end-to-end processes.
- Monitor key supply chain KPIs, identify risks and opportunities, and provide clear recommendations based on performance data.
- Support delivery and shipment planning by providing insights and coordinating closely with internal and external supply chain stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain standard reporting for in-season order tracking and forward-looking supply chain visibility.
- Contribute to seasonal planning and help ensure operational plans are aligned with financial and business objectives.
- Identify inefficiencies and actively drive process improvements across supply chain operations.
- Develop, share, and implement best practices across teams to improve consistency and operational performance.
- Support the development of short- and long-term supply chain strategies to strengthen efficiency and service levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience in Supply Chain Planning and Operations (Partner Management, or a similar stakeholder-facing role)
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations, order management, planning, delivery performance, and logistics processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret KPIs, identify trends, assess risks and opportunities, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, combined with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Experience with SAP, advanced Excel, and Tableau.
- Ability to communicate complex data and supply chain insights clearly to different audiences.
- Ability to challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to contribute to both short-term operational priorities and long-term supply chain strategies.
- Experience working in an international, fast-paced, or complex supply chain environment is highly desirable.
- Currently residing in Hilversum or the surrounding area.
