Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

Job description
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to play a vital part in streamlining transport services, fostering enduring partnerships with transport providers, and skillfully managing contract negotiations.Key Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for managing the allocated transport budget within specific regions and product categories.
- Cultivate and nurture long-lasting relationships with transport vendors, ensuring mutual benefit and reliability.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of supply chain partners, proactively identifying and implementing enhancements where necessary.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of existing and potential transport vendors to secure the most favorable service levels and pricing arrangements.
- Lead the organization and execution of transport tenders, incorporating strategic planning and preemptive measures to address potential issues along transport routes.
- Collaborate closely with company management and internal stakeholders to communicate transport insights and pricing strategies effectively.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal discussions and resolution of transport-related matters, adeptly managing non-conformities and claims to uphold operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Fluency in English and at least one other European language
- Prior experience in Supply Chain planning or procurement
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Competencies in teamwork, effective communication, leadership, and customer focus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Dynamics, and ERP systems.
- You are located near Roermond
Working conditions
Benefits:- a 7 month contract followed by a 1 year contract, and afterwards a permanent contract
- travel allowance: 23 cents per km for 50 km one-way
- 26 holidays (excluding national holidays)
