Job description

Do you enjoy helping people with technical questions and want to support customers in Belgium and the Netherlands? Our client is looking for a Technical Support Specialist with a focus on mechanical and electronic components to join their team.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for product knowledge, technical questions, and finding solutions for customers. You’ll support by phone, email, and chat , advising on product use, finding alternatives, and making sure customers get the right technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Check if certain products (or alternatives) are available in the range
Advise customers on product specifications and usage
Answer technical questions about electronic and mechanical components
Suggest replacements for backordered or discontinued products
Support Internal Sales with BOM (Bill of Materials) lists
Clarify unclear item numbers on purchase orders
Provide product certificates when requested
Train Customer Service and Sales teams on product basics
Handle REACH-related requests
Contribute to e-commerce support tasks for the Benelux region
Step in to help with other team activities when needed

Requirements

Fully fluent in Dutch + B2-C2 level of French Practical, hands-on background in electronics, mechanics, or installation/repair is seen as an advantage3+ years of experience in technical product support, technical sales or a similar roleExperience with SAP, CRM systems, and ExcelStrong technical interest and problem-solving mindsetClear and positive communicator (written and verbal)Patient, accurate, and detail-orientedEmpathy and ability to stay calm under pressureFlexible and quick to adaptComfortable working with data and systems to provide correct informationWilling to learn and take on new challenges

Working conditions
